Wang Jiong, male, Han ethnicity, born in September 1964 in Huaibin, Henan Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He currently serves as Chairman and Party Leadership Group Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress.
He previously held positions including Party Committee Secretary of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp., Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Organization Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Organization Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Party Secretary of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman and Party Leadership Group Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
From 1998 to April 2001, he studied Management Science and Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology, where he obtained a Master of Engineering degree.
